Glenn Earl Henry, 82, of Rural Irvona, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday at his residence, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Irvona, son of Charley and Ellen (Fredrick) Henry. On June 20, 1959, he married the former Gloria Freyer in Marron.
Surviving are three sons: Greg (Kimberly) Henry of Dover, Del., Jeffrey (Donna) Henry and Chris (Jennifer) Henry, both of Irvona; six grandchildren: Ashley (Justin), Kylie (Nick), Taylor (Brandon), Jeffrey (Amber), Elizabeth (Derek) and Rebecca; two step-grandchildren: Jessica (Steve) and Brandon ( Kylie); five great-grandchildren: Colin, Lillian, Savannah, Oliver and Sawyer; two brothers: Clifford Henry and wife, Nila, and Eugene Henry and wife, Jeannine; two sisters: Luanne Ricketts and Sheila Perkins; and a special nephew, Jerry Henry.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Gloria F. Henry; his parents; and a brother, Charles Henry.
Glenn was a 1954 graduate of BCI High School in Coalport. He was a merchant and meat cutter all his life, and was the owner and operator of Henry's Market and Henry's Slaughter House, both in Irvona.
He served as an Elder and Sunday school teacher at the Irvona Christian Missionary Alliance Church.
Glenn enjoyed hunting and fishing, cooking, and tending to his orchard and garden.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 Friday, Nov. 23 at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home, Inc. and 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, at Irvona Christian Missionary Alliance Church, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Pastor Douglas Williams officiating. Interment will be in Fruit Hill Cemetery.
