Betty (McGarvey) Braniff

Betty M. Braniff, 87, Coalport, passed away Friday at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg.

She was born in Irvona, daughter of the late Maurice and Belle (Potts) McGarvey.

Surviving are a son, Richard Braniff and wife, Nancy, of Irvona; a daughter, Cindy O'Donnell and husband, Dave, of Coalport; four grandchildren: David O'Donnell Jr., Richard "Pokey" Braniff Jr., Brenda Yoder and Beth Miller; five great-grandchildren: Damon Braniff, Nathan Braniff, Adam Miller, Braden Yoder, Justin Miller; and a sister, Alice Kunsman. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce F. Braniff; three brothers: Kenneth McGarvey, William McGarvey and James McGarvey; and a sister, Annabelle Tracy.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home, Inc., Irvona. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home, Inc., Irvona, the Rev. Douglas Williams officiating. Burial will take place in the Utahville Cemetery.
