Carol Joy (Worgul) Cavaner, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, left us on Feb. 3, 2025, at the age of 82, in her home in Hollidaysburg, where she spent her final days surrounded by love.
She was born on April 24, 1942, in Rosebud.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Julie Spring, and son-in-law Jason Spring of Cape Coral, Fla.; her son, John Cavaner, and daughter-in-law Jennifer of Gallitzin; her dear brother, David Worgul and sister-in-law Brenda; and her four adoring grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Carol was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Emory and Evelyn Worgul, and her dear sister, Bonnie.
Carol's warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. Her middle name, Joy, was no accident; it perfectly encapsulated the happiness she brought to all of our lives.
A true adventurer at heart, Carol embraced life with open arms, living in beautiful places like Florida, Jackson Hole, Wyo., and San Diego, Calif. Her travels took her to enchanting destinations, including Jerusalem, Singapore, Japan, and Mexico, where she created memories that will forever be cherished.
Carol had a special gift for bringing family and friends together through her love of cooking. Her home was always filled with the delicious aromas of her culinary creations, laughter, and love. Known for her sweet spirit and infectious laughter, Carol had a unique ability to make everyone feel special.
Though she is no longer with us, her love and light will continue to shine in our hearts. Carol will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will live on through the countless lives she touched. Join us in celebrating her life on March 22, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Glendale Valley Spirit-Truth Church in Irvona.
