Carter Gallaher, 17, of Flinton, passed away unexpectedly on April 4, 2026.
Carter is the son of Angel Lauver and Johnathon M. Gallaher Sr.
Carter is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Dennis R. Lauver Sr. and Richard D. Gallaher.
Carter is survived by his mother, Angel Lauver of Altoona; father, Johnathon M. Gallaher Sr. of Indiana, Pa.; brothers, Landon Gallaher (Abby Socie) of Flinton, Johnny Gallaher of Altoona; grandmother, Viola Lauver of Altoona; sister, Dorthy Gallaher of Patton; best friends, Jimmy Sutton, Tyler Smith, Brody McClellan, and Deven Brink; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his dog, Ace.
Carter was a student as Glendale High School where he was president of his class. He was on the varsity football team, loved the outdoors and fishing, made student of the month February of 2026, was a Greater Altoona Career Tech student in the Power Sports Program, loved music, and was looking toward joining the Army someday. Carter worked at Noels, Steclies, and Taylor Ann Deli.
There will be a visitation for Carter on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at the Glendale Valley Spirit & Truth Church with Pastor Kim and husband Rick Kozak speaking, with a service Friday morning at 11 a.m. with a lunch happening shortly after.
