David M. Shank

David M. Shank, 72, of Madera and formerly of Irvona and Houtzdale, died at Select Specialty Hospital in Johnstown on Dec. 21, 2023.

Born Aug. 19, 1951 in Philipsburg, son of Merl R. and Virginia S. Manners Shank.

He is survived by son David of Irvona; daughters, Bridget (Bill) Fleming of Philipsburg, Katie (Charles) Klinger of Madera, Dana (Brandon) Varner of Houtzdale; sister Lori Hutton (Carl Baer) of Coalport; grandchildren, Dennis, Brittney, Emily; and great grandchild Caleb.

David was twice married - first to Nancy Schultz, second to Cindy Rodkey.

Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Kevin and Larry; grandson, Bradley.

He loved his trips to Potter County fishing and spending time with grandson Dennis and reading. He was a member of the Houtzdale Senior Center. He was a graduate of Glendale High School. He last worked for Kitko Wood in Glen Hope.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024 at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home Inc., Rose Street, Irvona from 2 to 4 p.m.
