WESTOVER — Eugene Anthony Hagens, 60, of Westover, died July 11, 2017 at his residence. He was born Feb. 20, 1957 in Colver, a son of Eugene Hagens and Gail Bott Hagens Martin. He was a life member of Westover Area Vol. Fire Co., member of Westover Borough Council serving as secretary and treasurer, water meter reader, and had served as treasurer for Harmony Area School District. He was a former borough tax collector.
He worked as a salesperson for State Electric of Indiana, owner of Country Supply Store in Westover, and Castle Pub in Ebensburg.
Surviving are his wife, Diana Hagens of Westover; a daughter, Kilee McCombie and husband Mike of Nicktown son; a son, Josh Hagens and wife Ashley of Irvona; three grandsons, Brady Hagens, Bryson Hagens, and Michael McCombie, Jr.; a granddaughter, Claire McCombie; and two grandchildren on the way; a brother, Jay Hagens of Ashville; a sister, Terri (Craig) Horn of Las Vegas, Nev.; and his mother-in-law, Joan Lightner of Coalport.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Hagens; his mother, Gail Bott Hagens Martin; his step-father, John Martin; and father-in-law, Dick Lightner.
Friends will be received Friday, July 14, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home, Inc., Irvona.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017, at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home, Irvona, with the Rev. Matt Blake officiating.
