IRVONA — Harold “Bud” Stiver, 79, of Irvona, died at his residence.He was born June 23, 1938 in Chest Township, son of James Stiver and Vida Diehl Stiver.He was a veteran of the Korean War
Mr. Stiver worked as a machinist for Benjamin Coal until the company closed, and later retired from Elco Machine Co. of Clearfield.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby Ross Stiver; sons, Mike and wife Tonya Stiver of Irvona, Jeff and wife Kay Stiver of Irvona, son Bill and wife Theresa Stiver of Madera, and Chris and wife Stephanie Stiver of Flinton; sisters, Vera Nelson, Donna Pittman and Janet McCrastal, all of Ohio; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild on the way.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Stiver; mother, Vida Diehl; brothers, Arnold Stiver, Ardell Stiver, Arthur Stiver, Ronald Stiver, Robert Stiver, Irvin Stiver; and one grandchild.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home, Inc., Irvona.
A Memorial service will be held at later date.
