James L. Niebauer, 79, of Boalsburg, and formerly of Irvona, died at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College on Saturday, July 22, 2023.
He was born July 18, 1944 in Pole Tavern, N.J., son of John P. and Jennie C. (Benzie) Niebauer.
He is survived by daughters, Lisa (Jeff) Musser of Boalsburg and Julie Niebauer of Hollidaysburg; brother, John P. (Diane) Niebauer Jr. of State College; sister, Dorothy (Don) Beiswenger of Ashville; grandchildren, Jessica Niebauer, Kassidy Baum, Dustin (Ashley) Baum, Christine (Ryan) Wiser; great-grandchildren, Elena, Ariana, Piper, Byson, Bailey, Colton; also survived by his faithful four- legged friend Smoke, with whom he shared his meals.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Mary Kay; and an infant.
He graduated from B.C.I. High School, Coalport. He was formerly employed as a U.S. Mail courier contractor.
He loved riding his Harley and his Appaloosa horse.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July26, 2023 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home, Inc., 91 Rose Street, Irvona, where a funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Deke Irvine officiating.
Burial will be at St. Basil's Cemetery, Coalport.
