James Allen “JP” Pennington, 40, of LaJose, died Dec. 26 2017 in Miners Medical Center, Hastings.

He was born Jan. 17, 1977 in Spangler, the son of Robert Pennington and Betty (Shope) Pennington.

He graduated from the Harmony Area High School in the class of 1995. He worked as an emergency medical technician for Med Van Transport in Northern Cambria.

He married his wife, Amy Trimble on Feb. 4, 2017.

Surviving are his wife; son, Peyton Pennington; mother, Betty Pennington of LaJose; three brothers, Dennis (Rebecca) Pennington of Northern Cambria, Robert (Darlene) Pennington of Irvona and Terry (Carla) Pennington of Altoona; sister, Sandy Gallaher of Flinton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Pennington and sister, Connie Cowfer.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Friday at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home Inc., Irvona.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home Inc., Irvona, with the Rev. Gerald Cracker officiating.

Burial will follow in the Beaver Valley Cemetery, Flinton.
