Janet L. Rowand, 62, of rural LaJose died Dec. 25, 2017 in Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown.

She was born March 02, 1955 in Coalport, the daughter of Louis and Jane (Hockenberry) Slovikosky.

She worked as a registered nurse for Miners Medical Center, Hastings, and Memorial Hospital in Salem County, NJ.

Surviving are two sons, Jeremy Rowand and Joshua Rowand and his wife, Danielle; three grandchildren, Ryan, Skylar and Valerie; a sister, Lillian Kuntz and her husband, Robert; and nieces, Julie Niebauer and Lisa Musser, and  her Companion Charles Stiner.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends will be received from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home Inc., 91 Rose Street,  Irvona.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Gary McGarvey officiating.

Burial will follow in the Homeside Cemetery in rural LaJose
