IRVONA — Kenneth J. McGarvey, 67, of Irvona (Ansonville), died Dec. 6, 2018 at his residence.
He was born Oct. 8, 1951 in Philipsburg, a son of Kenneth C. McGarvey and Joyce M. (Martell) McGarvey.
He worked as a stocker for Wal-Mart for 15 years.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 16 years and was an E5.
Surviving are his wife, Judy (Craft) McGarvey; son, Kenneth McGarvey, Jr.; daughter, Christine McGarvey and friend James Masser; daughter and son-in-law, Vicky (Chad) Richner; daughter, Pamela Baker; brother, Ed (Kathy) McGarvey; brother, Nick (Janine) McGarvey, Bob (Stephanie) McGarvey; sister, Gloria (Bob) Bennett; grandson, Nathaniel Holbert; grandson, Nicholas Holbert; grandson, Tyler Baker; grandson, Duncan McGarvey; granddaughter, Isabell McGarvey; granddaughter, Aurora McGarvey; great-grandson, Kayden Baker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth C. McGarvey; and mother, Joyce M. Martell McGarvey.
At the request of Kenneth there will not be any viewing or visitation.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018 at Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral home Inc. of Irvona with the Rev. Richard Engle officiating.
