WESTOVER — L. Earl Blake, 82, of Westover, died at Haida Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Hastings on Nov. 2, 2017.  He was born Feb. 6, 1935 in Westover, son of the late M. Wayne and Mary (Kitchen) Blake.  He married Alice Helsel on June 2, 1954 in Coalport.

He was a member of Westover Baptist Church.

Mr. Blake worked as a welder for Benjamin Coal Co. .

Surviving are his wife, Alice Blake; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Debora Blake, son and daughter-in-law, George and Amanda Blake, daughter, Dorothy Jacobs, daughter, Carol Merrick, daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lou and Mike Merrick; brothers, Wayne Blake Jr., Jerry, LeRoy and Raymond; a sister, Ethel Brink; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Parents and brothers, Paul and James Blake.

Friends will be received Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home, Inc., Irvona, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Westover Baptist Church
Services will be held at 11 a.m. at Westover Baptist Church with Pastor Gary McGarvey officiating.

Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery
