Melanie Sass Obituary
Melanie B. Sass, 78, of Coalport died at Altoona UPMC on Dec. 27, 2021.
She was born March 14, 1943 in Bronx, N.Y., daughter of Paul Bihun and Mary Lucas Bihun.
She was a member of St. Michael's Orthodox Church, Irvona.
She worked as a secretary for L C Hegarty and Son, Coalport.
Surviving are daughter, Elizabeth Sass of Coalport; brother- and sister-in-law, Paul and Cindy Bihun of Irvona; brother, Andy Bihun of Altoona; grandchildren, Ethan and Emma; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, G John Sass; and sister-in-law, Debbe Bihun.
Friends will be received Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, from 9-11 a.m. at the St. Michael's Orthodox Church, Irvona.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. with Fr. David Lewis and Fr. Mark Meholick officiating.
Interment will follow in the St. Michael's Cemetery, Irvona.
