Murriel (Condon) Shaffer

Murriel Faye Shaffer, 93, of Ansonville died June 1, 2024 at Christ the King Manor, DuBois.

She was born Dec. 14, 1930 in Karthaus, daughter of Merle J. Condon and Anna M. Conaway Condon

She married George S. Shaffer in 1949 in Curwensville; he died in 1978.

She is survived by three sons, Lanny G. and wife Kathleen Shaffer of Houtzdale, Robert A. and wife Barbra of Curwensville, and Kelly J. and wife Rebecia of Ansonville; four grand children and five great grand children; also several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by brothers, Howard, Robert, Gerald and Lester; sisters, Beryl, Charlotte, Marie, Evelyn, Violetta, LaRue, Norma Joy, and Gloria Jean.

She worked as a seamstress for Kent Sportswear in Curwensville.

Family will receive friends and family on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Thursday 9 to 10 a.m. when the service will start in the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home, Rose Street, Irvona.

Burial will be at Fruit Hill Cemetery, New Millport.
