Sara Jane Kelley

Born to the late Alexander & Sarah Catherine (Davis) Moore, March 12, 1928 in Altoona, P A.

She married Rev.  George W. Kelley, November 21, 1953 and he preceded her in death February 24, 2009.  They met and were married at the Calvary Baptist Church & were married for 57 ½ years. 

Jane graduated from the Altoona High School in 1946 and Penn State in 1950.

Jane started her elementary teaching career in 1950 at Miller Elementary School.  She also taught at East End, Eldorado and retired from Baker Elementary in 1990.

Jane spent her entire life serving her Lord, singing, playing the piano, and Sunday school teacher.  She provided special music at the Green Avenue Tower for 30 years.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Dwight and Deb Kelley of Irvona.  Also surviving are numerous nephews and nieces. 

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers: Howard, Clair, Raymond, George, Richard, and Paul Moore.

At the request of Jane there will be no viewing.

Jane will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Jane loved animals especially birds and dogs.

Jane’s wishes and prayers were that everyone becomes saved.  Her favorite verse was John 3:16
