Thomas A. Suhoney, 67, of Irvona, went to be with the Lord at his residence on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024.
Born Dec. 21, 1956 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Joseph G. Suhoney and Bessie F. (Webster) Suhoney.
He married Teresa Frank on July 5, 1980.
After graduation from Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School, he went to work for Lee Industries in Philipsburg as a master grinder for 24 years before his retirement.
Tom's greatest hobby was his farm, which he did most of his life and enjoyed all of his critters. He loved to fish and hunt with his grandsons and son in laws.
He is survived by two daughters, whom were his pride and joy of his life, Jennifer Suhoney (Derek Freeman) of Irvona, and Amanda (Josh) Chandler of Houtzdale.
His five grandchildren were his world and he was proud of each one of them, Camie, Brynley and Gabriel Freeman and Joshua (JJ) and Harleigh Chandler; a sister, Joann Coover of Belleville; and brother, John Suhoney Sr. of Tyrone.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Frank Suhoney; two nephews, Joey Coover and John Suhoney Jr.; his father-in-law, Felix R. Frank; and numerous aunts and uncles.
There will be no funeral services per Tom's wishes. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
