Tressa (Capotosti) Labonawski

Tressa Labonawski, 101, of Coalport, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

Born to Fortunato and Rosa Capotosti, Tressa lived a life marked by faith and devotion to family. She was previously employed by the Slinky Factory and was a proud life member of the VFW Auxiliary. She found great joy in being surrounded by her family and was known for her strength, perseverance, and deep love for those closest to her throughout her 101 years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony Labonawski; her infant daughter, Rose Marie; her infant son, Wendell; and her parents and siblings.

Tressa is survived by her loving daughter, Paulette (John) Ruffaner, whose faithful and devoted care allowed her mother to remain surrounded by love and comfort throughout her final years. Paulette served as Tressa's primary caregiver, lovingly tending to her needs until her last breath before she was welcomed into the arms of Jesus.

She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, John Ruffaner and Nicole (Greg) Johnston; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Bryan and Logan Ruffaner, Sarah (Kyle) Greene, and Lukas and Vance Johnston. She also leaves behind special nieces and nephews, along with extended family members and friends who were blessed by her presence.

Tressa's family takes comfort in knowing that her faith has become sight and that she is now rejoicing in the presence of her Savior. Her legacy of faith, resilience, and love for her family will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Friends will be received on Monday, June 15, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home, Inc., Irvona. A funeral service celebrating Tressa's life and faith will be held on Tuesday, June 16, at 10 a.m. at St. Basil The Great Parish Church in Coalport.
